Bacaro Tour

Bacaro Tour

Venice is synonymous with “bacaro”: our concierge will be happy to recommend some of the best spots for your wine tasting and local food sampling.

Our suggestions

Venice and the bacari: an inseparable union. The famous Venetian bacari can be a romantic alternative to bars.

Here you can get a nice bottle of wine to enjoy on the banks of the lagoon or a spritz, the Venetian aperitif par excellence, made with white wine, Aperol, seltzer and a slice of orange or an olive.
There is only one rule: leave the crowded streets and lose yourself among the calli looking for bacari that serve cicheti made with seafood, various types of cold cuts or vegetables accompanied by a glass of Prosecco or, for those who prefer savory meat-based snacks, Cabernet del Piave.

A visit to Venice must include a Bacaro Tour, which involves hopping “from bacaro to bacaro”, making multiple stops at the city’s different wine bars immersed in the unique Venetian charm: a feast of flavors and colors that are impossible to resist. You will be spoiled for choice among the numerous snacks on display at the bar: meat, cold cuts and cheeses, or seafood. Some of the best known and most loved cicheti include the famous meatballs, baccalà mantecato or creamed salt cod, the spienza (spleen) Venetian style, marinated or fried anchovies and octopus: there’s something to please every palate.
