Pilates

Pilates is a physical fitness system created in the first half of the 20th century and inspired by yoga, which benefits the body in many ways.

It helps increase self-awareness and improves body control.

By focusing attention on breathing, it increases the ability to concentrate.

Breathing training consists of a set of exercises aimed at correcting muscle imbalance; it helps restore proper posture by relieving pain and stiffness in various parts of the body.

In addition, this type of Training teaches how to maintain good posture during normal activities in daily life: while studying, while working, while sitting in front of the computer.

This class also includes some joint mobility exercises that help recover all motor skills that may be adversely affected by a sedentary lifestyle.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a physical discipline that teaches to dominate the cosmic energy in man, manifesting as breath, in order to achieve control over the mind: the most unstable and restless element.

The search for balance between body and mind occurs through three steps, as described in Patañjali’s yoga sutras.

Asanas: body postures that, in addition to resembling physical exercises, are tools for channeling energy – prana – into the different parts of the body.

Pranayama: Specific breathing control techniques to purify body and mind and help accumulate and direct prana.

Relaxation: a fundamental part of Hatha Yoga, it consists of a regenerating pause after performance of yoga postures and breathing exercises. A Prelude to meditation techniques.

Ashtanga Yoga

Body is not stiff, mind is stiff
Pattabhi Jois

It is perhaps one of the most challenging and dynamic styles of yoga, which combines breath control (Ujjayi), execution of asanas, synchronization of movement and breath (vinyasa), focused gaze (drshti) and co-activation of specific muscle groups (bandha).

A technique that offers a lot of benefits to the body by toning, strengthening muscles and drastically improving flexibility; and to the mind, by eliminating stress and increasing the ability to focus.

At the end of the class you will experience complete balance and an incredible inner peace.
